JE: My Anti-Drug :P

I've been thinking lately, why is it exactly that I love Johnny's so much more than any other fandom. A lot of it has to do with the music, dramas, prettiness, the crack, and especially the friends/support ♥, but I also think it's because of the massive amounts, and in different forms, of media we get from JE. I can't say that I know what other fandoms are like, but I feel like JE gives us a lot of material to keep us 'active' in fandom and 'paying attention.' It seems like we're constantly bombarded with something new from at least one of the groups. They pretty much cover all areas of entertainment; music, tv (from dramas, variety shows, and news casting), movie, stage plays, magazine, radio. Maybe the next thing will be seeing is someone writing a book (isn't Shige doing that or something?) :P
And if one band isn't doing something or other, the individuals are quite busy too!

The Japanese are also very open to fanservice and not being afraid to push limits, for sure, and I really like this aspect. Our boys are forced to wear flashy colors, dance/twirl/roller skate, cross-dress, and play random games with their sempai since their Junior days, and we get to see all this. Our Johnny's boys aren't just some random people who suddenly became famous; we see them as they are 'growing' as idols. We're privy to back-stage happenings, Junior dressing rooms, and of course, the jimusho is who is planning all this, but it draws people in, doesn't it? Their 'formula' of letting fans know more about their idols gives us an opportunity to fall in love with them more :)
Unless we're friends with one of the Johnny's idols, we can't say for sure that all of this is an act or if it's real, but the general feeling in fandom, is that our idols are grateful to us fans. We see their 'roots' so to speak, so we feel like they aren't just some pompous celebrities pretending to be humble.

Japan, then, becomes kind of a mecca for most fans. We all absorb at least a little of the Japanese culture as we're watching these boys (bowing, phrases like 'yoroshiku onegaishimasu,' 'itadakimasu' 'sempai/kouhai,' etc., festivals). When we become really emotionally invested in our bands, we kind of want to learn more about where they're from; sort of like having a crush and wanting to know more and more aspects about them :)

Now, this is all coming from me, I'm just speculating, but the fact that we're all connecting, from all over the world, somehow finding Livejournal (which I don't think is a normal 'networking' site that people have heard about) shows kind of an interesting niche that we've created :D

JE has certainly changed my life and influenced my way of thinking a lot more than I realized. Sometimes, I can't articulate why or how this affects me, but it does. Some would say that it ruins their social life, lol, and some would say that they have to marry a Japanese/Asian person now, lol, or I don't know, want to learn the language instead of concentrating on something else :)
Whatever it is, I love it. I love you all, and honestly, you make me happy and keep me sane ♥

I finished ProDai, again :D

I noticed the 'aiming for the stars' and 'dreams' and 'boom boom boom' writing on the kitchen cabinets and I'm curious if that's actually there or if LoveSong subbers put it there as a joke. The table in the living room also says 'aiming for the stars!!' so...I don't know :P

Bloody Monday 2-2
The subbers are calling the new terrorist group Der Freischutz, which I found out roughly translates to “The Marksmen.” I don’t know how you would translate this from the Japanese words, but I’m guessing they researched it from the manga?

The Hornet is the hacker associated with this new group and is Falcon's rival...creepy or what?

As expected from last episode, Fujimaru no longer trusts Minami, and I feel like there's a double standard in both THIRD-i and the terrorist groups. Even on the 'good' side, I can consider the new director/his administration (and possibly Minami) is going against the old team we used to trust. We also see there is a 'good' side to the 'bad guys,' because I much prefer Maya and J versus 'The Marksmen.' Maya, even with her own agendas has definitely saved Otoya and Haruka’s lives, so points go to her :)

The action scenes are pretty intense this time around. And with Aoi dying so soon, it definitely has viewers on the edge of their seats –knowing that every close call really could be the end. Good execution in instilling ‘fear,’ lol

LOL This cap totally cracks me up! :D

Obviously, you need more help than a counselor can give you. It's even possible that you bring your shotgun to the sessions and shoot your counselor when he/she says something you don't wanna hear XD

Anyways- OMG! Otoya x Haruka moment, I swear!

I've been sorta working on a fanfic for this, but there's not much to go on as far as I can remember. If I ever have time and motivation, I'll go read the manga, because I know Haruka had a crush on Otoya there.
And yea, maybe in the live-action, there's evidently more of an age gap, but in the manga, they are only supposed to be 2 years apart ^^
Speaking of Takeru, he just won Ameba's "Blogger of the Year 2009" award!! :DDD

I wonder what Haruka’s supposed love interest’s involvement is with the plot line…even though he killed himself…like, that was random. What was that supposed to demonstrate?
Yea sure, people are dying, I see that connection, but there's gotta be something more...

In any case, I’m relieved that Kano-san is actually in cahoots with Maya, especially since they’ve been keeping our main characters safe so far :) And J said there was a spy (for the marksmen) among Fujimaru’s midst and I think it's Hibiki (girl in pigtails) :P
Next week, we find out if J really did shoot himself...
I’m loving this show! :D

So, um, I talk a lot ^^
Random, but this is probably why I love Ryo so much: because he is as much a creeper as I am XD
