OK! So, on a whim, I decided that I'm going to post every day using a different mood each day, which means, I'll be posting for 132 consecutive days. Wow :o
I'm sure there will be days where I have nothing to say, so don't worry about me spamming your flist with my usual long-rambly entries :P
But there will also be days where I have too much to say, where one mood will not convey it all, so I forewarn for that.
In any case, today's mood is Accomplished!
As a matter of fact, I am! I spent the past two days working hard on my cultural genogram and self-assessment which I turned in a few hours ago. During this, I realized that I watch the most amount of media right before an assignment is due. I watched the following movies: Into the Faraway Sky for Kamiki (adorable in suspenders), After School for Ozumi Yo, Sasaki Kuranosuke, and Sakai Masato (a great team of actors), and Chonmage Purin for none other than our beloved Nishikido Ryo XD
All were very nice movies in their own way. The ending for both Into the Faraway Sky and After School were what made the movies for me. The pacing was slow, but it was relaxing. Both used humor to pull us along, but most of the time I was enraptured by the vivid characters that I didn't care how long the movie took.
Chonmage Purin was a solid film; definitely cute and feel-good. The concept is wacky, but that's what makes it cool. At first, there's disbelief, but then we just go with it. I felt like Ryo really took it seriously. I still can't believe his off-screen relationship with the actress was so minimal when their chemistry was so great. The kid is adorable *squishes*
I didn't stop there. I also finished marathoning through 14-sai no Haha for Shida Mirai and Miura Haruma. It was a little painful to watch in the beginning, but then people started accepting her decision, and it was okay. It was far from smooth-sailing, but yea. I wished there was more Shida/Haruma interaction, but their chemistry shone through even their limited relationship. Shida was such a powerful actress, and at such a young age!
And now I've started Akahana no Sensei for Ozumi Yo and Kamiki ^^
So far, it's better than I thought it would be. I remember thinking once that I would never be watching this drama, but here I am. Ozumi Yo is so great in comedic roles. I cringe with every episode, because his character antics are potentially life-threatening to the hospitalized children, but somehow it works out, and there's humor and learning about life -it's good :)
If you didn't adore Okada Masaki before, you will now! He is so dorktastic!
OMG and Ozumi Yo and Kiritani Kenta; you would not be able to tell they are 30+ years old with how they act sometimes *squishes*
I can't get enough of Erika Toda as Toma in SPEC.
