NEWS has been a huge source of happiness and encouragement for me, whether it was 6 years ago when I first discovered them, or 5 years ago when I started a new journey, or just this past summer when I was feeling down about my job situation. NEWS lyrics helped me to calm down and keep trekking through. So this is a post kind of for me to put it all out there, lyrics that really speak to me when I need a little push. This is also in celebration of their anniversary. NEWS, thank you for existing, fighting for it, and bringing the joy back to us ♥

Also, Tegoshi’s translated comment below really fueled my love for NEWS as they are now:
I don't want to hear "I loved 6-members NEWS", it's frustrating to know that somebody might want us to go back to what we were. If somebody thinks that for real it's because our power is not enough yet, it means we have to work harder and harder. NEWS is a 4-members group. From now on it will always be like this.

...or at least, trying to. I've joined je_ficgames and sign-ups are still up, so definitely try that out. Their teams this year is Present, Future, and AU and the prompts will be based on famous Johnny's quotes. I've never done this before, but I think it'll be fun :D
I've also joined the Kaleidoscope Challenge with darkagenda which promotes chromatic (people of color) fandoms, like our lovely Asian drama community :) I think it's hard to find drama!fic, so this is a nice way to promote that. If you're up for a challenge, it's still in the nomination phase so you can pick sources, so long as they're both made by and feature chromatic characters. I think they can make exceptions if the creator is not of color, but it might not be approved. Like, I nominated Sunshine because half its main crew is colored, but it was created by Danny Boyle and it's not guarantee it'll be accepted. Worth a shot -I couldn't think of anything else to nominate that I wanted to write/read.

Oh! And I also just finished another writing challenge recently, not_primetime, and I wrote and received Firefly fic! :D/
I signed up for pinch-hit notifications, and found out that nobody could write for me...But in the end, the mods are great and found me someone and even wrote a treat for me <3
Both were character pieces, the first one being really reflective and beautiful, and the second being light and playful.

You are awesome and I'm so glad to have met you. I have great respect for you, for the time you devote to your goals and to your craft in writing, and for always caring for your friends. Ever since getting back into the stride of watching Kamen Rider, I've been looking up random things on Wiki, and this is what I found amusing recently:
Foreign productions as tokusatsu
The Japanese market regards several English-language live-action series dubbed into Japanese as tokusatsu programs. English language television programs such as Thunderbirds, Doctor Who, Lost in Space, Smallville, Wonder Woman, MacGyver, Stargate SG-1, Battlestar Galactica, Red Dwarf, The Greatest American Hero, Knight Rider, and even Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends are considered by the Japanese as tokusatsu for the special effects techniques and themes that they utilize.
I knew I loved tokusatsu for more subconscious reasons than just crazy storylines, cool "Henshins" and pretty boys ♥

I've kinda been running out of things to watch (How is that possible?!), so I thought, why not catch up on some American shows?
So, now, I guess I should catch up on "True Blood," "Chuck," and "Castle"...but, but jdramas are so much more fun and fast pace! lol
This is when you know you've been brainwashed XD
I was thinking about Kamen Rider Hibiki...but the video quality is so bad! I'll have to find a good download of it if I'm to watch it at all.

I can't wait for April. Time for fresh pickings XD

Wow, the kid who played Makino Tsukasa's little brother is still soft-spoken but buffed up! He's so adorable *pinches cheeks*
And of course, I'm totally there for Nissy and Daito Shunsuke. Yusuke and Koji have gained popularity now, so I'm giving more love to the supporting characters ;)

Just saw that the lovely Ran uploaded the LQ version of "My Girl" and can't believe that the "Fall" season is actually starting already! :D
Ohgosh, I'm going to be so busy, but that'll give the episodes time to pile up (hopefully) so I can marathon a little ^^

I think I'm going to be following "Tokyo DOGS," "Liar Game 2," "ROMES," "Untouchable," "My Girl," and "Welkame."
The 'maybes' are "Bocho Manio 09," "Challenged," and "Gaiji Keisatsu."
