Hello all! Happy first week of the New Year! I didn't do anything for the holiday -just hung out and spent as much time by myself as I could ^^ Here is my per usual 'Year in Review' post -I hope all is going well for you so far ♥

According to my last.fm account:

f(x), SHINee, and SNSD were quite close together! I can tell you that AAA is probably because of "Miss You," and "出逢いのチカラIII." Koyama is because of "Uri Sarang" and "Starry."
Others are 'regulars' from previous years as well ^^

Bringing Out the Best in Us part 1 and part 2

I took on the challenge of doing je_devilorangel while overseas xD and it was such a cool experience working with tegopyon , and we actually did some RPing to get the story written :Db That's the most I've written on something! Go team Awkward Bears! xD

More Than They Seem
I wrote for an entirely new fandom, Running Man, which I had no idea what I was doing, but it turned out well for my Yuletide recipient ^^

So overall I wrote 12,108 words this year, averaging 1,009 words a month, but mostly it was that one challenge fic that boosted my numbers ^^ My goal for 2014 is that I'll continue to average 1,000 words/month and actually write each month xD

And because I'm silly: Candy Crush level/Odus Version: 421/33

I first started getting interested in ABK48 December last year, around the time I finished Q10. I researched what the Senbatsu was all about, and I'm sure you've all heard about the recent buzz one way or another. I'm mostly happy with the results for this year's Senbatsu, and here's a site that writes about it in detail. I agree with most of their commentary. My personal biases will always be Maeda, Mariko, Tomochin, and Kasai. I also adore TakaMina by default that she's the amazing Leader (and ginzarhapsody's love is contagious), and Jurina, thanks to the Sakura no Ki ni Narou PV.

Finally, I need a favor from you, dear flist.
My friend, valeria_sg_1, is conducting Ph.D research on linguistics and needs people who are neither English nor Italian native speakers.
I know I have a diverse flist, so PLEASE, if you have time and want to be apart of her research, let me know and I'll send you her way. She'll explain more about it, but it's really interesting and for me, it was fun :)

I volunteered at an Olympic challenge today for some youth and while I was doing that, I was also 'baby-sitting' for my co-worker's 2-year-old. He is the cutest baby EVER. I've always been the type to flail around babies, like, I'm awkward and don't know what to do with them to keep them entertained and not cry, but baby and I got along just fine :)

Needless to say, I was pooped when I got home, so I took a nap and waited for 8UPPERS to load, and A;KLSDJG;LJFHPAK it's sooooo cuteee!!!!!!! :D
Everyone in suits and kicking ass is hot and all, but I find cuteness even hotter, and cute totally wins out here.
Whoever came up with the idea of pachi-uppers is a genius. The pun is so great!
Cinematography and direction and acting is SUPERB! The interactions with each other and the baby are too adorable and fun, and I loved it! What sticks in my mind most is that the baby is such a symbol of their hard work. Eito is truly their baby; they made a family out of seven men, they laugh and cry through it, and when it's time to go home, the memories will stay with them forever ♥

Kanjani8 + baby is the best fucking idea ever. It made my life. Japan wins :P

This blog, I wrote this for you, has daily doses of inspiration, love, anger, inquiries, and answers. It is just full of things to think about, and it has made me want to do a similar thing. I didn't know what to do with this blog at first, but I think I'll start with simple entries of random things in life :)
For now, pieces of light and dark will do for this space :)

Sometimes, entries will deal with my regular fandom (Japanese Entertainment) and sometimes it will be a peek into my life and what I see; take whatever you will from it. Enjoy~

So, with this past drama season in mind, there were some pretty great ones like "Buzzer Beat," "Orthros no Inu," and "Koishite Akuma." I started off with a couple, but it dwindled down to these three:)

Anyways, I finally got to finishing OnI and let me just say that, despite it not turning out to be as epic as I'd originally hoped, I'm extremely delighted and in awe of the ending. It's just so beautifully done, right down to the cinematography:D
I know some bits of it were overly dramatic or wanting to give that 'happy-ending' feeling, but I honestly left that drama feeling happy, hopeful, and in love with this story:)"

I am extremely excited about Tacchon's new drama coming up. I wonder if Kanjani8 will get a chance to sing their own theme song. I mean, come on, two members are already in the show:P

I seriously adore this album, and I think not having any sort of expectations coming into it, was good for me. And even though I haven’t really listened to Kanjani8 often in the past, I feel like this album brings a lot to the table that’s different from their usual image and sound:)
I’m still waiting for some of the lyrics and translations to come out to further enjoy the meanings behind these wonderful songs, but yes, overall, lovely album!

This was 7 single-spaced pages typed on Word…written over the span of a week, probably, on breaks from doing HW…my fingers are done typing for now (I have about 40 pages to write for my classes combined, so who knows how I wrote this review the way I did) ^^

Hm…I wonder why Arashi or KAT-TUN have not gained this much love from me…hm…:P
