owaranai_natsuHonestly, Twilight/New Moon does not need as much publicity or criticism as it is getting, because when it's all said and done, it's just another fad, something famous and pretty to latch onto. It's entertainment; don't get all defensive about how vampires aren't supposed to sparkle. We know already, thanks.
Yes, I will admit there are some awful fangirls who get overexcited and take it all too personally, but there are some people who just want to enjoy the movie (or not) and just move on with their lives. The books have little academic merit, but then again, it's YA fiction.
Maybe it's unfair that some 'better' (everything is subjective anyway) books aren't getting their share of glory, but ohwell, that's the entertainment industry for you. They know what sells, and ya know what, you can't deny the fact that Twilight does the job.
On to the prettiness; take it or leave it :P
I'm not in this 'fandom,' albeit I say that loosely, for the main characters. While their story is nice and everything centers on them, I like the little things in life. The extra detail that can be minor at times :P
But mostly, shiny things make me happy (though not literally, because I could do without the sparkling aspect) :p
Cameron Bright plays Alec, one of the Volturi and Jane's brother :)
He's definitely grown into this role :D I still love him as young!Orlin from SG1 ^^
Dakota Fanning is also freaking amazing as Jane :DDD
She knows how to play evil, and I just love her costume in the movie!
Christopher Heyerdahl played ...idk who exactly, but he was basically paid to say something menacing, in a British accent, and sit around on his throne with loafers on.

Do you see a slight resemblance? Yea, maybe it's just me, but that's who I kept thinking about whenever I saw Jasper onscreen...which was not often enough :P

Michael Welch plays Mike Newton, and while I usually love the kid, his character did not come off as cool, lol.
