Moonlight and Atlantis

Ah...let's see. I am now in love with CBS for one reason: another spin-off/rip-off of Angel/Buffyverse, but delightfully candor and snarky enough for me to like it. It's something called Moonlight, and OMG, Alex O'Loughlin is yummy:D (plus he's Australian).
And I tend to agree with most of what he's saying about vampires. O, did I mention it's about vampires? Even more yummy;p
I found it ironic that Rudolph Martin, who played Dracula in the episode "Buffy vs. Dracula," is now the supposed vampire in this pilot episode. Also, he guest starred on Stargate:SG-1, S10, "Company of Theives" as Anateo. Just a little tidbit there;p
Yeah, so I don't know the whole story, but it was a lovely eppy to start. I can only hope they give it enough research and creativity it deserves to continue; we are in dire need of some decent vampire shows;p
(Please tell me if there is one out there, because I don't have cable, but I can find a way to watch it online, thanks:)).

Moving onto the more important matter at hand:
STARGATE: ATLANTIS!!!
IT'S HERE!!!
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Ok. OMG. I am very angry. I knew Weir had to go, but I didn't see this coming. I mean, the way that she might have to go with the Replicators and all....no way in Hell they would leave her with them...(from next ep's preview)..I mean, I'm very curious to know how they're gonna go about this. I know, this is just the beginning.
OMG, I love Amanda and I love Carter, and I wanted more of her in the first eppy. I watched the premiere just for Amanda, and here she is only being stuck in the midway station. Ugh, I guess we gotta let the die hard Atlantis fans ease into this whole thing. And once again, my friend, who I must say graciously let me borrow her cable time, changed the channels to Sky High, and got distracted. Ohwells, I got the jist.
So yeah...let's do a play by play..or as much as possible from memory.
1) I hate the Replicators. I never liked their storyline, except when Patrick Currie was present. So, it just bugs me that the producers/writers had to bring them back. As if Atlantis didn't have enough issues. I mean, it's really no different than how SG-1 had a few baddies at once, but I think the Replicators are getting old. Despite everything, I must admit that I like that they're relating everything back to the Ancients, and how they're competing for their creator's love. Well....
2)Adding onto that, from what I can assume in the previews, Weir's nanobots are not as harmless as Rodney so desperately wished to believe. I can't imagine why they would let the Replicators take her...but maybe it's to extract and repair her, so they can negotiate on their terms? I mean, would they really kill off Weir just so Carter can take over? That would not be good on Atlantis or for the fans. So...that doesn't seem right...would Weir become their ambassador?
3) Man, I saw the opening credits, and saw Amanda Tapping and I screamed;) And then, I'm not sure, but I think I saw Torri's name as a guest star and I'm like....aw...
4) I love Jewel Staite. I had just caught up on S3 a few hours ago, and I'm like, woot! The pressure is on! I hope Carson comes back and tells her that she's gonna be great, so she stops wanting to quit. I know Paul comes back for something, so yay:)
5) I love Ronon. He wants to act all tough and pull the sharp object out himself, lol. I love how he's so tough and he's really a softy at heart. That little moment when he's grateful for Weir's acceptance, amazing scene.
And then: "What did I do?" "You didn't do anything, now get out of the way." tehhe;p
6) I love Radek!!! Man, when that debris hit him, I jumped. I was like...NOOOO. And that blood sure looked realistic. Yay for some real blood!
7) And let me just say again how outrageous it is that they could actually die. How are they gonna get out of this one??? Seriously, that ZPM isn't gonna last forever, and the Replicator homeworld? COME ON!!!
8) I want the Carter/McKay snarkfest to begin:)
9) I wanna see Teyla preggers.
10) STARGATE'S LEGACY LIVES ON!!!
Remember to watch it LIVE! guys :)
Much <3
