1) Stargate: SG-1 is officially cancelled. The only good part about this is that Brad Wright and Robert Cooper, God bless them, will be making 2 straight-to-dvd movies to end the Ori storyline. Hopefully, it will provide closure in more ways than one. I need to see Jack and Sam get some serious *something something* going, or I'm gonna be pissed. Although, leaving it open gives us fellow fanfic writers more to write with. Bleh, lose-lose situation. Find more info here: http://www.gateworld.net/news/2006/10/istargate_sg-1i_movies_coming_to.shtml
Anyways, onto more Stargate related antics. I'm thinking of writing my ten-page research paper on how 'Science fiction is the existential metaphor for the human condition.' (That is paraphrased from 200th episode, Grell, in the very last minutes of the ep). I'm gonna argue that Stargate: SG-1 is a great example of that statement, followed by an analysis of each season in comparision to the current events of that time. There migth be slight problem in wanting to summarize every season, and then analyze...but my professor can deal with it. I am not going to write a freaking ten page paper on something mundane. Bleh.
And there's more, I have not seen all of season nine, let alone season 6 and 7 (why did I just use letters than switch to numbers in the same sentence?). I missed Avalon Part 2, even though I've read the transcript, but it's not the same.
So, the reason why I'm really angry/grumpy/depressed is the cold weather. I HATE IT! But it's Florida, and it's only gonna be like in the 50's. But I still hate it. I hate the transition, because it seems like such a shock to your body.
Finally, last but certainly not least, is the Stargate Fan Awards. They said they would post it on Sunday, Oct. the 15th. well, it is....at 1:32am....and the winners list is still not up. I have no chance in winning, but it would be nice to see who the actual winners are. I'd like to think I helped in voting, lol.
Well, that's enough wallowing. Not really...but there's more...subconsciously depressed for not seeing my b/f, or I should say, banned from seeing him; avoiding homework, knowing that it will bite me the ass; not wanting to work tomorrow from 12-9. gah.
THE END.
