I thought

kleenexcow 's story, "Two Below Zero," was really well done, especially the characterization, so I hope this fanmix provides a nice background for the story.

I chose music that reflected the themes of loss, denial, resistance for help, and yet a bit of hope that there was someone to turn to. I also tried picking music that felt like it would appear on the show, some instrumentals that seemed a bit more haunting but light. I felt like the first few songs could really reflect the time in Kara's life where she was holding onto Zak. The middle songs reflected more of the story's content and the struggle to get home. And the last few songs reflected hope.

I actually didn't know about this audition, and now it's too late, but there are TONS of people who posted their audition videos on YouTube, and apparently, SM is really picky.

I did hear about the Avex Trax one, but they were all held in major cities in New York and California...so bah:p
I don't think I would've made it anyways, because although I'll admit to having a decent voice, I don't have the powerful vocals, nor the social talents to be a singer:P

Life has been hectic, and I've been barely able to keep up with reading people's LJ's, (but I really like to, because they are interesting and entertaining) but I just wanted to post a few lines of lyrics from my songs to see what you guys think:)

Author's Note: I put in "As I lay me down to sleep..." with a little of their mythology, because essentially, they are searching for Earth, but are human beings, so it's possible they have the same prayers and such. I thought it would make a nice little anthem for Kara to sing...idk

Author's note: That's also pertaining to Kara, and I kind of wrote this because I felt that she had to decide between Lee and Anders, and either way, she may be holding on to both men, because deep down she fears she will end up alone....What do you think?

So, yesterday at 1AM in the morning, I got a few ideas dealing with BSG. This is what I made along with my current icon, because I recently just watched Season 2's Home Part 1 and 2. I still don't know how to use cuts or whatever they are called in thie site..so sorry...

I have exciting news....at least it's exciting to me...cuz I have no life:)
I'll go chronologically..

1)I have discovered why our/my beloved daniel jackson loves coffee..especially starbucks, so much. It's so gooood:) As Peter Deluise would put it; I love both men dearly.

2)Sarah introduced me to a wonderful singer named Kimya Dawson, and my favorite song of hers at the moment is 'Loose Lips.' My favorite line in that song is 'When you want to kill yourself, remember that I love you...' And her lyrics are so true with really cute metaphors..and her voice is just so cool...plus she seems like a really neat person on her LJ, check it out:)

3)I went to the library and I put stargate: sg-1 season 6 volume 1 on hold, despite the fact that someone else had it checked out, cuz i was angry they were hogging it.

4)Also, I found out that the library is processing/getting ready to buy seasons 7 and 8 or stargate: sg-1...so it might take a while...but still, it's in the system.

5)At the check-out desk, I discovered that the librarian also had an interest in science fiction as well...so I was very happy that someone who was checking my stuff out understood my need to check it out..hehe:p

6)And when I got home, I started getting into Battlestar Galactica...even though it was volume two...I like the whole concept...at first, I thought it was some space soap opera with 'o who's having my baby' and what not..but so far..it's not that bad. a lot of politics involved...i'll give it a chance:) I shouldn't start a new obsession, but ohwell...what else have I got?
